Property: Black solid powder with metallic luster. Melting point: 1185οC, density: 4.80g/cm 3(14οC), Mohs hardness 1.0-1.5. Molybdenum (IV) sulfide is not soluble in water, dissolved in aqua regia and boiling concentrated sulfuric acid.

Application:
(1) Widely used in the automotive industry and mechanical industry, can be used as a good solid lubricating materials.
